{"id":237,"date":"2024-05-08T07:00:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-08T05:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kompetenzzentrum-hanf.org\/en\/?p=237"},"modified":"2025-09-01T10:00:28","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:00:28","slug":"new-research-initiative-for-industrial-hemp-applications-in-the-aerospace-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kompetenzzentrum-hanf.org\/en\/2024\/05\/08\/new-research-initiative-for-industrial-hemp-applications-in-the-aerospace-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"New research initiative for industrial hemp applications in the aerospace industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 8, 2024, an international research and development initiative for the application of hemp-based components in the aerospace industry was launched.<\/p>\n<p>The project will focus on the integration of industrial hemp in areas that are considered technology drivers with a simultaneous focus on future challenges of value creation within the framework of circular economy principles &#8211; from production processes, application in self-sufficient systems to future requirements in vocational training and further education.<\/p>\n<p>The use of industrial hemp in aerospace is intended as a contribution to making the closed systems that predominate in aerospace more sustainable and to applying the experience gained from this to earthbound systems. \u201cReady for Outer Space\u201d or \u201cMade for Mars\u201d are terms that do not propagate an escape from Earth, but explicitly have the protection of other celestial bodies in mind.
