Module 1 – The Core Principles of Auditing & Global Compliance

Trainer: Riccardo Longato

Riccardo Longato (Clear S.r.l.S.B.) sets the stage for the entire program. As an expert from an ISO-accredited certification body, Riccardo will demystify the universal framework of Quality Management Systems (QMS) through ISO 9001:2015. He will show how the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle is the engine of continuous improvement and dive into the eight fundamental principles of auditing from ISO 19011:2018. Participants will learn to apply these principles—including integrity, due professional care, and a risk-based approach—to assess a supply chain with rigor and objectivity.

Module 2 – Building a Compliant Supply Chain from Day One

Trainer: Carl Haffner

Building on the theoretical foundation, Carl Haffner (Haffner International) provides the practical roadmap for translating principles into a real-world cannabis business. Drawing on his experience building a medical cannabis facility in Colombia, he will guide participants through establishing a robust QMS, creating foundational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and designing a supply chain that is inherently compliant from day one. This module connects theory to practice, showing how to “build it right” to avoid the costly mistakes and failed audits that can derail a new venture.
