Structural strengthening of the hemp industry

The Linnaeus Competence Centre Hemp has been created to advance and accompany the development process of a new industry in a fact-based manner on the basis of programme and project work.

This is done by participating in EU, federal and state research projects as well as by setting up its own research projects, which are financed by donations or by orders from industry.

Use and construction of demonstration plants for the industrial bioeconomy – scaling of innovative bioeconomic processes and procedures

Hempro International GmbH
Project: Hemp4Textile

Preparatory measures for the construction of a company-owned demonstration plant for the industrial processing of hemp and agricultural residues into fibres for textile applications, taking into account market-related quality and quantity requirements.

Higher education

Development and accreditation of a 2-year Master’s degree programme (M.Sc.) as a contribution to the systematic development of a hemp industry

Projekt:
Working title “Hemp4Study”

Together with students, this project consists of the curriular development of a degree programme for the area of universities of applied sciences (HAW), the accreditation process and the establishment in the study programme of at least 2 Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS).

Project initiative to create climate jobs in the construction industry

Project initiative for climate-neutral refurbishment and construction, aimed in particular at key players such as tenderers, planners, contractors and building materials. An online platform and physical model locations are planned.
